But it’s been a bit of a drama queen lately because it’s experiencing a “solar minimum.” Translation: fewer sunspots and less solar activity. Solar flares and sunspots usually spice things up, but they’ve been pretty scarce lately. Scientists have noticed that the Sun’s magnetic field is getting all tangled up.
